Peanut Oat Cereal

This recipe initially started as a granola recipe and slowly changed to what it is today. This makes a soft cereal that can be enjoyed with yogurt, fruit, milk, or even on top of ice cream. It only takes five ingredients to make and about thirty-five minutes!

Ingredients

  • 6 Cups oats - quick or rolled

  • 6 Scoops of Why Protein Isolate (Other protein may work, haven't tried)

  • 1 TBSP Kosher salt

  • 1 Cup of Honey (May substitute agave or maple syrup)

  • 1 Cup of Crunchy Peanut butter (Can probably be substituted with any nut butter)

First, preheat the oven to 325F and line one or several baking sheets with parchment paper or non-stick baking mats.

Next, combine the ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer. Note that this can also be done by hand with a spoon and bowl; it’ll take longer.

Mix everything until it forms a crumbly texture and feels dry. Next, spread it on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir. Place the pan back in the oven and cook for 8 minutes. Afterward, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool. Store in an airtight jar for up to a month.
