Peanut Butter Protien Bites
This recipe for my protein bites that I often make has less than ten ingredients and is low in sugar. The mixture is a crumbly clay texture perfect for shaping into little balls or squares. This is a no-bake recipe and takes less than thirty minutes to put together from start to finish. I mix it in my Kitchen-Aid mixer, but it can be mixed by hand. I use crunchy peanut butter for these. You can use creamy butter, but you'll want to add more dry ingredients to get it to a dough-like texture. I also use 100% pure Whey Protein Isolate, which adds to a chewy texture; you may use other protein powders, but it doesn't make a huge difference.

Ingredients
2 Cups Crunchy Peanut Butter.
1 Cup Hemp Hearts - Can substitute for other seed or chopped nut.
1 Cup Whey Protein Isolate.
1/2 Cup Ground flax seeds/flax meal.
1/2 Cup Almond Flour or other nut flour.
1 TBSP Cocoa Powder. (Note you may leave this out if using a chocolate protein powder or if you want to.)
1/4 Cup of Honey - May add more if not sticky or sweet enough.
1 teaspoon of salt.
Mix everything until a slightly crumbly dough forms, then shape into little bite-sized balls, and keep refrigerated for two weeks. (They vanish pretty quickly!)
